Blasting Media and Tumblers
Blasting Media and Tumblers
Tumblers and media are items relating to the surface treatment process of abrasive tumbling. Abrasive tumbling uses an abrasive media that tumbles loose in an automated tumbler with the material being finished. Able to finish multiple small parts at once, and more efficient than hand-finishing, this process can be used to de-burr parts, polish small items, or texturize surfaces. Centrifugal magnetic finishing machines can be used to burnish small, nonferrous metals. Customize a tumbling finish with different types of tumbler media, including ceramic shapes and stainless steel pins. Vibratory tumblers, also called rock tumblers or rotary tumblers, are used to finish rocks, gems, or parts. Manual separating screens are used to keep tumbling media separate from workpieces.
