Flap Wheels

Flap Wheels
Flap wheels are wheels made of separate abrasive sheets attached to a core that are used in metal fabrication, deburring, cleaning, polishing, and finishing jobs. The sheets wear away during jobs, constantly exposing fresh abrasive coating to provide an even finish. Each grit flap comes in contact with the workpiece at a slightly different angle, which prevents scratches. Because abrasive flap wheels conform to the shape of the surface material, they can be used to finish and smooth complex shapes and tight contours on a workpiece. Flap wheels can be attached to grinders, drills, impact wrenches, or Dremel-style power tools. They are either pre-mounted on a central hub with a screw mount for a compatible tool, or unmounted so workers can insert the mounting of their choice.
