Surface Conditioning Wheels
Surface Conditioning Wheels
Surface conditioning wheels are abrasive discs used in conjunction with stationary grinding equipment or portable rotary tools for deburring, surface blending, polishing, surface finishing, and cleaning metal, composite, wood, or glass surfaces. Convolute non-woven wheels are commonly used on bench grinders and designed to debur, remove corrosion, and polish and finish metal. Typically smaller than convolute wheels, unitized non-woven wheels are used with portable rotary tools, such as Dremels, to finish, debur, and polish small or intricate workpieces. Molded and surface stripping wheels are designed to strip and clean surfaces of adhesives, welding spatter, rust, and paint, as well as clean, shape, and finish surfaces.
