These schedule 40 zinc galvanized steel pipe and pipe nipples connect to pipe fittings and are threaded on both ends, making them easier to disassemble than unthreaded fittings for maintenance or temporary installations. Schedule 40 is a standard Schedule rating used for low-pressure applications and has thinner walls than Schedule 80 and Schedule 160.
