General purpose carbide square end mills cut a wide range of materials. Carbide end mills provide excellent wear and heat resistance and are harder than high-speed steel or cobalt. Uncoated end mills are used for milling a wide range materials in general purpose milling applications. Square end mills cut flat-bottomed grooves with 90° inside corners. They're also used for counterboring, side and face milling, and milling square shoulders. Center Cutting end mills cut on the end and sides of the mill and is used for plunging, ramping, and machining bottom surfaces. Finishing end mills create a finer finish on the workpiece than roughing and roughing/finishing end mills.
