BX section banded V-belts have a classical, cogged design and are constructed of multiple V-belts fused together to create ribs in a V-belt with reinforced backing. Each banded V-belt has a top width that varies depending on the number of ribs, and a nominal thickness of 13/32 in. (actual dimensions may vary slightly). These cogged banded V-belts run cooler than B section banded V-belts because the cogs allow the belt to bend and flex against the pulley, dissipating heat.
