Square End Mill: Cobalt, 3 Flute, 3/8" Mill Dia, 1-1/2" LOC, 3-1/4" OAL

General purpose cobalt square end mills cut a wide range of materials. Cobalt end mills can be used at higher speeds and are harder and more wear resistant than high-speed steel. Uncoated end mills are used for milling a wide range materials in general purpose milling applications. Square end mills cut flat-bottomed grooves with 90° inside corners. They're also used for counterboring, side and face milling, and milling square shoulders. Center-cutting end mills cut on the end and sides of the mill and are used for plunging, ramping, and machining bottom surfaces. Finishing end mills create a finer finish on the workpiece than roughing and roughing/finishing end mills.
