These EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) type EC radiator and coolant hoses meet SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) Standard 20R1 for Class D1 hoses, which provide low oil resistance and have a longer life expectancy then EPDM SAE 20R1 radiator and coolant hoses that do not meet the D1 Class rating. These hoses are typically used for routing coolant and radiator lines in heavy-duty trucks, buses, and off-road vehicles, and they are also approved for marine applications. EPDM hose provides good flexibility and strength, excellent resistance to ozone and high temperatures, and good resistance to chemicals. These hoses resist cold water leaks and electrochemical degradation.
