These 316 stainless steel hex head lag screws are more corrosion-resistant than 18-8 stainless steel screws. Also called lag bolts, these wear-resistant screws are easy to install with socket wrenches. With spaced threads and sharp points, lag screws are used alone in wood or with lag screw shields in a variety of materials. Note: partially threaded screws may have threads that extend all the way to the top of the head, provided they meet the minimum thread length requirement. This can make the screw look fully threaded.
