Double-ferrule brass compression fittings include a front sealing ferrule (metal ring) and a back locking ferrule. A fitting nut is screwed on the tubing to tighten and hold the fitting and tubing in place. Double-ferrule fittings work with higher pressures than single-ferrule fittings and have a stronger grip.
