CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) through-wall fittings resist corrosion, chemicals, highly chlorinated water, and provides a higher resistance to heat than PVC (polyvinyl chloride). They install through the wall of the tank, drum, or fluid container by inserting the shaft through the hole of the tank from the inside so that the shaft sticks out of the tank. A gasket seals the internal fitting as a nut is threaded onto the exposed shaft to secure it to the tank.
