Close-tolerance conveyor roller bearings (also known as screw machine bearings) have closer tolerances and fit slightly tighter than general purpose conveyor roller bearings when installed in a roller. They can tolerate higher conveying speeds than general purpose roller bearings and spin more freely than precision roller bearings. Use these bearings to replace the bearings in rollers on unpowered (gravity-flow) conveyors or low-level powered conveyors where precision tolerances are not needed. Conveyor roller bearings press into the ends of conveyor rollers and allow the rollers to rotate smoothly on their axles during conveying tasks.
