They resist corrosion and provide longer wear than screws made from other materials. These screws are used alone in wood or with lag screw shields in a variety of materials. Note: partially threaded screws may have threads that extend all the way to the top of the head, provided they meet the minimum thread length requirement. This can make the screw look fully threaded.
