Solvent-weld tube fittings are glued to tubing using solvent cement. These fittings are made of nontoxic CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) which is a strong, rigid thermoplastic material that resists corrosion, heat, chemicals, and rust. These fittings work with copper tube sized CPVC tubing in hot water plumbing applications.
