High-torque drive (HTD) section curvilinear timing belt pulleys have a round tooth profile to increase their contact surface area and dampen stresses found in high-powered, high-speed applications. These pulleys require a QD (quick detachable) bushing to mount to the drive shaft and adapt the bore, or center hole, to the shaft size. HTD pulleys are used in appliances and machine tooling environments.
